Chrome Plating With Nationwide Collection and Delivery
Our collection and delivery service brings your parts to us from anywhere in the UK, so you never have to arrange transport yourself. We strip, repair and re-plate corroded chrome back to a mirror finish, then return it to you.

Chrome Plating Without the Transport Headache
Getting bumpers, grilles, wheel trims or motorcycle parts to a plating workshop is often the hardest part of a restoration. Our collection and delivery service removes that problem. We arrange pickup from your home, garage, showroom or storage unit anywhere in the UK, bring your parts into our workshop, and return them to the same address once the work is finished. This suits private collectors, showrooms and enthusiasts working on classic cars, vintage motorcycles and bespoke custom builds, and it means distance from us never limits what we can restore for you.

Send us photos of your parts and tell us where they are. We will confirm what the work involves, quote you with collection and delivery included, and only begin once you have approved it.
What You Get From Our Collection and Delivery Service
You avoid the cost and risk of arranging your own courier, and you avoid handling heavy or awkward parts more than necessary. Because we collect and deliver nationwide, you deal with one workshop from start to finish rather than coordinating between a transport firm and a plater. We can restore even heavily corroded chrome by stripping it back, repairing the damage underneath and re-plating it to a mirror finish, so parts you might have written off are often saveable. Our quad chrome plate process is applied to every job, and our work is backed by a 12 month warranty.
What You Get From Our Collection and Delivery Service
- We collect from and deliver to addresses across the UK, so you never have to book a courier or drive your parts to us
- Your parts are handled by the same workshop that plates them, which keeps responsibility in one place from pickup to return
- Heavily corroded pieces are stripped, repaired and re-plated rather than written off, so original parts can stay on the vehicle
- Every job goes through our quad chrome plate process, whether it is a single motorcycle fitting or a full set of car brightwork
- Completed work is covered by a 12 month warranty, backed by more than 250,000 projects since 1994

How the Process Works
Tell us what you have and where it is, and we will confirm what your parts need and arrange a collection. Once they reach our workshop, we strip the old plating, assess the metal underneath, and carry out any repair and polishing work needed before plating begins. We then take the parts through our quad chrome plate process to build up the finish. When the work is complete and checked, we deliver your parts back to you. We keep you informed along the way, so you know what stage your parts are at.
Send Us the Details
Tell us what parts you have, what condition they are in and where they are located. Photographs help us judge the corrosion and any damage under the plating.
Why Customers Trust Us With Their Chrome
We have been plating and restoring chrome since 1994 and have completed more than 250,000 projects in that time. We have worked with private collectors, showrooms and automotive enthusiasts on everything from original classic cars and vintage motorcycles to one-off custom vehicles, so we are used to irreplaceable and hard-to-source parts. That experience is reflected in our rating of 5 from 6,754 reviews. Every job we return is covered by a 12 month warranty on our work.
Arranging Your Own Transport or Letting Us Collect
If you organise transport yourself, you are packing awkward, heavy and often irreplaceable parts, paying a courier, and dealing with two separate companies if anything goes wrong in transit. When we collect, your parts move between your address and our workshop under our arrangement, and you speak to one team about condition, progress and return. It also means the decision to restore a set of trim is no longer influenced by how far you live from us.
What Chrome Plating and Delivery Costs
Cost depends on the parts themselves: their size, the metal they are made from, how much corrosion or physical damage needs repairing before plating, and how many pieces you are sending. A single motorcycle part is a very different job to a full set of car brightwork, so we price each project individually rather than quoting a flat rate. Send us details of your parts and where they are located, and we will give you a clear quote that includes collection and delivery, with no work starting until you have approved it.
David Whitmore
Classic car owner, Yorkshire
“I had a set of bumpers and grille trim off a 1960s saloon sat in my garage for three years because I could not face shipping them. Chromefix collected them from the door, kept me updated while the pitting was repaired, and brought them back looking better than the day I bought the car.”
Frequently Asked Questions
Find answers to common questions about our services and how we can help you
What is the quickest way to get started?
Send us photographs of the parts along with the address they need collecting from. That is usually enough for us to tell you what the work involves and give you a figure that includes collection and delivery. There is nothing to arrange at your end until you have decided to go ahead.
Am I committing to anything by asking for a quote?
No. Asking is just asking. We will tell you honestly what we think can be done with the parts you have, including whether we would advise against the work, and you decide from there. Nothing is booked into the workshop and no collection is arranged until you have approved the quote.
Do the parts need to be off the vehicle before you collect?
Yes, we plate parts rather than complete vehicles, so the pieces need to be removed before we take them away. If you are unsure what should come off for the finish you have in mind, send photographs of the vehicle and we will talk it through with you before anything is dismantled.
Can you collect from an address that is not my home?
We can. Collections and deliveries are arranged to wherever the parts actually are, whether that is a garage, a showroom, a storage unit or a restorer working on the vehicle for you. Just tell us the address and who will be there when we arrive.
What if I only find out how bad the parts are once you strip them?
That happens, and it is normal with older brightwork. If we uncover damage under the old plating that changes what the job needs, we come back to you and explain it rather than carrying on and presenting you with a surprise. You stay in control of what is spent on your parts.
